The program consists of the following teams:

In 2013, the team won the Division 1A national championship. Plays in the Mid-South Conference, the toughest and most competitive conference in the country.

Men’s Club 15s – the original Life University rugby team plays the highest level of rugby in the United States. Made up mostly of graduate and doctoral students, the Men’s team has played in the prestigious Division 1, the Rugby Super League and the Elite Cup. Having won multiple championships in various divisions, the Life U Men’s team takes on all comers and travels all over the country seeking competition.

With expert coaching and the establishment of scholarships, it won’t be long before the Lady Running Eagles make a name for themselves on the national stage.

Undergraduate 7s – in its first season of existence, the 7s team won the inaugural USA Rugby Sevens national championship, the prestigious Las Vegas Invitational, and advanced to the semifinals of the Collegiate Rugby Championship (CRC). Despite such a high initial bar, the team has continued to turn heads the past two years with its winning play and network television appearances.

Life University’s rugby facilities are used regularly by the US national teams for training ahead of key international test matches, and oftentimes scrimmage Life U teams, thus exposing Life U players to the top level of competition in the United States.

There is a standard at Life U virtually unmatched anywhere. We compete for national championships and several of our players earn All-American status. We’ve had multiple players advance to the professional ranks, and have players on the US Eagles. Life U is the type of program that prepares players for the next step, not just in rugby, but also in life.
